Branding and logo design in Dar es Salaam

We build identities around one clear idea: a logo, a colour and type system, and the rules that keep them consistent on every card, document, sign and screen.

More than a logo

A logo is the most visible part of an identity, but people recognise a business through repetition: the same mark, colours, type and tone, applied the same way every time. We design that whole system, so your brand looks deliberate wherever it appears.

Our branding work starts with your goals and ends with files and guidelines you can use straight away. We work with businesses in Dar es Salaam and across Tanzania, in English and in Swahili.

Who this is for

  • A new business that needs an identity from the start.
  • An established business whose logo or materials no longer match how it works today.
  • An organisation whose materials look different from one document or channel to the next.

What a branding project includes

  • Brand strategy

The positioning and the one clear idea your identity is built on: who you serve, what you stand for and what sets you apart.

  • Logo design

A primary logo, with the versions you need for light and dark backgrounds, drawn to stay clear from a business card to a wall.

  • Visual identity

A colour palette, typefaces and supporting graphic elements that work together, chosen so they stay legible in English and in Swahili.

  • Brand guidelines

A short, practical document that explains how to use the logo, colours and type, so anyone you work with applies them consistently.

  • Ready-to-use files

Final logo files and guidelines organised for printers, web developers and designers, so nothing has to be rebuilt later.

The exact scope is agreed for each project. Not every business needs every item.

How a branding project runs

The same four steps as everything we do, applied to identity.

  1. Listen

We start with your goals, your customers and the places your brand will appear: signage, documents, social media, packaging and screens.

  2. Define

We agree the one clear idea the identity expresses, before any drawing begins.

  3. Design

We develop the logo, colour and type together, test them at small sizes and on light and dark backgrounds, and refine them in detail.

  4. Deliver

You receive final files and guidelines, ready for printers, developers and your own team.

Branding questions

What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?

A logo is one symbol or wordmark. A brand identity is the system around it: colours, typefaces, graphic elements, layout rules and tone. The system is what makes a business look consistent and recognisable across cards, documents, signs and screens.

What will I receive at the end of a logo design project?

Final logo files with versions for light and dark backgrounds and, where your project includes them, colour and type guidelines. We agree the exact list with you at the start of the project.

Do I need brand guidelines?

If more than one person will ever use your logo (staff, printers, a web developer, a social media manager), yes: guidelines keep their work consistent. A one-person business may need only a short version.

Can you redesign a logo I already have?

Yes. We begin by looking at what the current logo does well and where it falls short, then decide together whether to refine it or start again.

Can my brand work in both English and Swahili?

Yes. We choose typefaces and layouts that handle both languages, including longer Swahili phrases, so your name and messages look equally good in each.

How much does branding cost?

We do not publish a price list, because the scope depends on what your business needs. Message us with your goals and we will discuss the scope and the cost before work begins.

How do I get started?

Send us a message on WhatsApp or by email with a few lines about your business and what you need. The contact page lists what is helpful to include.
